How to get a 7, mathematically

Hello guys,

I just finished writing the article for my school's only academic/STEM-oriented monthly journal. This journal is created / founded my me :) your big L-boi

So for this article, I'm doing kind of like an optimization problem inspired by how in IB, our final grade in a subject are simply rounded off of the weighted averages of all the assignments counted in an academic term. Now this is where the best receive just the same amount of points as the normal.

The scale is out of 1-7. If you get 6.8, you get a 7. If you get a 6.52, you also get a 7. If you get a 6.500000968, you still get a god-damn 7, because they still round up.

This is how good the IB is, considering the amount of work and how IB kids have to learn 6 different subjects in 6 different subject groups. That means you can't just take courses you like. You can't just drop Math completely to study other stuffs.

So, I may call "getting the grade of the closest borderline to 6.5" the way to cheat the IB system, legally. Of course, people know this. Why burn your bottom out to get 6.8 when you can get 6.52?

The article is all about this goal: cheating legally. I devised an algorithm to achieve the objective. It's pretty intuitive. Here is the link to it:
