Yes.
The e-gift service doesn't quite have its place in Vietnam. You can't send promos to the people you wanna send to.
In fact, the network of people is hidden and your account is personalized. It ain't no Facebook.
I personally think that this is a missed opportunity for VN Grab. The Singaporeans have got it in tact in their Q&A, with some 'Gift of Joy' thing.
This kind of transferable GrabRewards service is advantageous at times; a person might run out of cash, with no GrabReward available. That person can get a gift and deduct some costs.
Now if you may ask me if you can order the ride for the person instead of giving them your gifts; what's gonna happen is that Grab uses an incentive-based award system--when you use more then you earn more, and it keeps looping upward for you. Meanwhile, it's drooping downward for me, because I'm literally not incentivized to ride because I initially have no discount. This goes further because Grab's not seeing me do rides, so they ain't giving me a bunch.
With the GrabReward gifting service, I won't have any problems with this. My mom can give me some discounts, and we will have an equal distribution of rewards to which we can use without worries.
